The villa lies in a very quiet rural setting with pretty rock outcrops jutting out over paddy fields. You can cycle along our designated cycle trails on country road that are completely free of traffic and absorb the amazing beauty of Sri Lanka’s tropical landscapes.

The Pineapple Villa lies within a private estate with 5 acres of coconut palms, with some very tall tress indeed.

Guests are welcome to help pluck and sort coconuts according to grade during harvesting time.

There are 3 very ancient rock temples near The Pineapple Villa. The Varana Temple is one of the islands oldest cave temples dating from the 3rd century B.C. Pilikuttuwacan claim to be one of the most picturesque rock temples in Sri Lanka. It’s a perfect example of a Sinhalese forest monastery. Maligatenna Temple has an excellent vantage point with a 360 degree panoramaand is the highest hill in the Gampaha District.

You can be pretty much assured that not another single tourist will be met along the way!
